     David Winslett was born in 1781 at Wrightsboro, Greene Co, Georgia. He was the son of 1st Lt. Samuel Winslett I and Mary Carson. David Winslett married Mary 'Polly' Ann Wootan, daughter of James Wootan (aka Woods) and Margaritte 'Peggy' Woods, c 1811 at Greene Co, Georgia. David Winslett died in 1820 at Greene Co, Georgia.

     Mary Winslett was born in 1783 at Wrightsboro, Greene Co, Georgia. She was the daughter of 1st Lt. Samuel Winslett I and Mary Carson.

     Joel Winslett was born in 1785 at Wrightsboro, Greene Co, Georgia. He was the son of 1st Lt. Samuel Winslett I and Mary Carson.

     Johann Conrad Schuetz was born on 29 Mar 1678 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. He was the son of Hanss Jacob Schuetz and Esther Magdalena Schanz. Johann Conrad Schuetz married Anna Barbara Vielhecker, daughter of Hanns Anthoni Vielhecker and Anna Barbara Millers, on 27 Sep 1707 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Johann Conrad Schuetz died on 17 Mar 1750 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, at age 71.

      Hanss Cunrad Schuez's surname was also spelled Schaetzen on one transcript.

     Mary 'Polly' Ann Wootan was born c 1794. She was the daughter of James Wootan (aka Woods) and Margaritte 'Peggy' Woods. Mary 'Polly' Ann Wootan married David Winslett, son of 1st Lt. Samuel Winslett I and Mary Carson, c 1811 at Greene Co, Georgia.

      Mary Ann Wootan was both the daughter and sister-in-law of Margaritte Cahoon.

There is also a reference to Polly Ann Wooten marrying Hartwell Porch on 31 Jan 1811, so two different women may be confused.

     James Winslett was born c 1789. He was the son of 1st Lt. Samuel Winslett I and Mary Carson. James Winslett married Sarah 'Sally' (Unknown) a 1814. James Winslett died b 1820. He was buried at Greene Co, Georgia.

      James Winslett was presumed to be another of Samuel's sons based on his age and residency. He owned Greene Co, GA land and in the Greene Co lottery acquired Baldwin Co, GA land. At his death he left orphans.

     John Carson II was born in 1759 at North Carolina. He was the son of John Carson I and Esther Stubbs. John Carson II married Rachel (Unknown) a 1785. His estate was probated on 5 May 1823 at Jones Co, Georgia.

      This may be the private John Carson who enlisted 30 Jun 1782 in the First Company, Georgia Battalion, under the command of Captain John Lucas and deserted in Jan 1783.

     Joseph Carson was born a 1751. He was the son of John Carson I and (wife of John Carson) (Unknown).

      Either Joseph Carson or his brother William may have been the husband of Elizabeth whose will was probated 5 Mar 1821 in Jones Co, GA and who had daughters Peggy McGough, Elizabeth Tyson, Sarah Finney, Mary Nunn, Ibby and Jane.

     Sarah 'Sally' (Unknown) was born a 1796. She married James Winslett, son of 1st Lt. Samuel Winslett I and Mary Carson, a 1814.

     Richard Winslett I was born in 1790. He was the son of 1st Lt. Samuel Winslett I and Mary Carson. Richard Winslett I married Parthenia / Perthene "Pertha" Bagley, daughter of William Bagley and Aggie Clemens / Clements, on 5 Mar 1815 at Greene Co, Georgia. Richard Winslett I died in 1828.

      Richard Winslett and Perthene Bagley were married by Thomas Bush.

     Parthenia / Perthene "Pertha" Bagley was born in 1795 at Warren Co, North Carolina. She was the daughter of William Bagley and Aggie Clemens / Clements. Parthenia / Perthene "Pertha" Bagley married Richard Winslett I, son of 1st Lt. Samuel Winslett I and Mary Carson, on 5 Mar 1815 at Greene Co, Georgia. Parthenia / Perthene "Pertha" Bagley married Owen W. Owens on 15 May 1829 at Putnam Co, Georgia. Parthenia / Perthene "Pertha" Bagley died in 1865 at Putnam Co, Georgia.

      In the 1860 Putnam Co, GA census Pertha Owens age 65 is shown living with O. W. Owens, age 50 a farmer, and three females with the Winslett surname: J. A. age 39 [her daughter Julia A.], M. E. age 20 and M. A. age 8; the latter two unknown girls were born after Perthene married Owen, so they are not Perthene's daugthers. The Owens family was living next to the G. W. Owens family.

     China Perryman was born on 7 Jan 1842 at Big Springtown, Indian Territory. She was the daughter of Lewis Perryman and Ellen Winslett. China Perryman married Sarnokitchee Partridge a 1862. China Perryman married William Henry Thurman c 1879 at Indian Territory. China Perryman died on 10 Apr 1886 at Tulsa, Tulsa Co, Oklahoma, at age 44. She was buried at Perryman Cemetery, Tulsa, Tulsa Co, Oklahoma.

     William Henry Thurman was born a 1854. He married China Perryman, daughter of Lewis Perryman and Ellen Winslett, c 1879 at Indian Territory.

     Sarnokitchee Partridge was born a 1837. He married China Perryman, daughter of Lewis Perryman and Ellen Winslett, a 1862.

     Sarah Kimbrough was born c 1816. She was the daughter of John Kimbrough II and Esther Winslett. Sarah Kimbrough married Reuben C. Smith c 1834. Sarah Kimbrough married Dr Henry D. Schrock a 1837.

      Data is available on her Reeves, Wasson, Adams, Taylor, Addison, Katterich, Brewster, Peck and Moore descendants in the hardcopy files.

     Reuben C. Smith was born in 1811. He married Sarah Kimbrough, daughter of John Kimbrough II and Esther Winslett, c 1834.

     Dr Henry D. Schrock was born a 1813. He married Sarah Kimbrough, daughter of John Kimbrough II and Esther Winslett, a 1837. Dr Henry D. Schrock died at Texas.

     Amy Winslett was born in 1881 at Alabama. She was the daughter of Rev Wesley Alexander Winslett and Louisa Elmira Lewis.

     Clifford Earl Winslett was born on 10 Aug 1924 at Boothton, Shelby Co, Alabama. He was the son of Rev Hiram Milton Winslett and Birsie Eubera Green. Clifford Earl Winslett married Gladis Haywood a 1949. Clifford Earl Winslett died on 12 Oct 1961 at age 37.

     Georgia Ann Winslett was born on 12 Mar 1884 at Fayetteville, Alabama. She was the daughter of James Newton Winslett and Susanne 'Susie' Ann Peters. Georgia Ann Winslett married James L. Green on 7 Feb 1904 at Fayetteville, Alabama. Georgia Ann Winslett died on 18 Dec 1956 at Fayetteville, Alabama, at age 72.

     John 'Jawbone' Wesley Winslett was born on 13 Jul 1821 at Jasper Co, Georgia. He was the son of John Carson Winslett II and Susan Stewart. John 'Jawbone' Wesley Winslett was christened at Russell Co, Alabama. He married Lousia Fagle in 1861 at California. John 'Jawbone' Wesley Winslett died on 16 Oct 1909 at Stevensville, Ravalli Co, Montana, at age 88.

      John Wesley Winslett moved from Georgia to Alabama at the age of ten and later was a cotton plantation overseer. He moved to California in 1850 and joined the mining business with John Houk. They later moved to Idaho in 1862 and Montana in 1864 where he and Houk founded Stevensville, MT. John also worked as a merchant.

     Lucious 'Luke' Lamar Winslett was born on 7 Apr 1886 at Fayetteville, Alabama. He was the son of James Newton Winslett and Susanne 'Susie' Ann Peters. Lucious 'Luke' Lamar Winslett married Nancy Mazella "Zella" Barnett a 1913. Lucious 'Luke' Lamar Winslett died on 25 Jul 1970 at Fayetteville, Alabama, at age 84. He was buried at Shelby Co, Alabama.

     Milly Fredonia Winslett was born in 1879 at Alabama. She was the daughter of Rev Wesley Alexander Winslett and Louisa Elmira Lewis.

     Minnie Louella Winslett was born on 18 May 1912 at Thornhill, Talladega Co, Alabama. She was the daughter of Rev Hiram Milton Winslett and Birsie Eubera Green. Minnie Louella Winslett married Fred Thomas Owens in 1930 at Alabama. Minnie Louella Winslett died on 6 Feb 1970 at age 57.

     Fred Thomas Owens was born a 1905. He married Minnie Louella Winslett, daughter of Rev Hiram Milton Winslett and Birsie Eubera Green, in 1930 at Alabama.

     Nancy Jefferson Winslett was born on 25 Oct 1828 at Quitman Co, Georgia. She was the daughter of John Carson Winslett II and Nancy Jefferson West Nelloms / Nelms. Nancy Jefferson Winslett married Andrew Saunders on 13 Apr 1852 at Clayton, Barbour Co, Alabama.¹

     Ora Wesley Winslett was born on 8 Aug 1897 at Talladega Co, Alabama. She was the daughter of John Howell Winslett and Martha Emma W. Hutchinson. Ora Wesley Winslett died on 10 Oct 1937 at Shelby Co, Alabama, at age 40. She was buried at Williams Cemetery, Clay Co, Alabama.

     Preston Winslett was born on 12 Dec 1906 at Alabama. He was the son of John Howell Winslett and Martha Emma W. Hutchinson. Preston Winslett died on 10 Apr 1930 at age 23. He was buried at Williams Cemetery, Clay Co, Alabama.

     Robert Pierce Winslett was born on 6 Aug 1877 at Alabama. He was the son of Rev Wesley Alexander Winslett and Louisa Elmira Lewis. Robert Pierce Winslett died on 26 Jun 1962 at age 84. He was buried at Little Oak Cemetery, Troy, Pike Co, Alabama.

     Edna McCabe is the daughter of Patrick Francis McCabe and Mary R. King. Edna McCabe married Unknown Powers a 1942.
