1733 Notes on Often-Cited Persons, Places and Things in Robert Carter's Diary and Letters; Edmund Berkeley, Jr. Penmond's End (Peumond's, Pewmond's, etc.) Plantation was located in a part of Essex County as Carter stated in his will, later to be Caroline County, VA where the plantation appears on the Fry-Jefferson map near Port Royal.      John Bell was born a 1728. He was the son of Henry Bell II. John Bell died in 1804.
      John Bell wrote his will and it was filed in the Caroline County, VA court on 10 Mar 1804. Then a codicil was executed on the 28 Oct 1804 and then finally John's will was probated on 11 Dec 1804. John Bell died with no issue and left many of his belongings to his brother-in-law Robert Wright's kids and his sister Mary Bell, who was married to Robert. Both of Mary and Robert Wright were dead by this time. He also gave belongings to his nieces and nephews from his sister Susannah Bell Rowe.
