      Anna Satchell Joynes is presumed to be a daughter of Levin Joynes and Maria Satchell based on an 1831 letter Levin wrote to his cousin Thomas Littleton Martin wherein Levin noted “my Anna Satchell's health (is) much improved, but she will hardly ever be well again;” this researcher believes Anna is likely a daughter of Levin and Maria who did not survive to be included in her grandmother's 1843 will which specifically stated Maria was childless.
