     Arlin Otis Wheat was born a 1912. He was the son of Columbus Joshua Wheat and Ona Eulola Underwood.

     Josh Wheat is the son of Arlin Otis Wheat.

     Ona Eulola Underwood was born a 1887. She married Columbus Joshua Wheat, son of Judge William "Bill" Hendrix Wheat and Georgia Lily Askew, on 26 Dec 1909 at Greene Co, Georgia. Ona Eulola Underwood died in 1958.

     Mary "Polly" O'Rear was born c 1813 at Georgia. She married Lovett Merritt, son of John Merritt and Elizabeth (Unknown), on 26 Sep 1837 at Greene Co, Georgia.

     John C. Merritt was born on 16 Jul 1823 at Greene Co, Georgia. He was the son of Lovett Merritt and Sarah Gatlin. John C. Merritt married Louisa F. Burke on 15 Jul 1849 at Greene Co, Georgia. John C. Merritt died on 18 Jan 1886 at Greene Co, Georgia, at age 62. His estate was probated on 1 Mar 1886 at Greene Co, Georgia.

      The 6 Feb 1886 will of John C. Merritt of Greene Co, GA refers to his wife Louisa F. Merritt, thus this will and its probate were aligned with John C. Merrritt, the son of Lovett Merritt, rather than with his first cousin John C. Merritt, the son of Thomas Merritt, residing in Alabama. John bequeathed his wife land, a buggy and horse, furniture and $1000 in lieu of her dower in his estate. The will referred to his daughter Marg C. Tappan, and sons E. G. Merritt, George A. Merritt and William C. Merritt, the latter two of whom served as executors. Wittnesses were Littleton D. Caldwell, James M. McKinley and E. R. Credille.

     William Thomas Merritt was born on 20 Dec 1830. He was the son of Lovett Merritt and Sarah Gatlin. William Thomas Merritt died on 17 Jun 1869 at age 38.

     Elizabeth "Eliza" Ann Merritt was born on 1 Oct 1838 at Georgia. She was the daughter of Lovett Merritt and Mary "Polly" O'Rear. Elizabeth "Eliza" Ann Merritt married Thomas Tillery Brown a 1858. Elizabeth "Eliza" Ann Merritt died on 22 May 1913 at age 74.

     Thomas Tillery Brown was born on 20 May 1838 at Georgia. He married Elizabeth "Eliza" Ann Merritt, daughter of Lovett Merritt and Mary "Polly" O'Rear, a 1858. Thomas Tillery Brown died on 27 Jul 1914 at age 76.

     Benjamin F. Merritt was born on 12 Jan 1840 at Greene Co, Georgia. He was the son of Lovett Merritt and Mary "Polly" O'Rear. Benjamin F. Merritt died in Jan 1862 at Greene Co, Georgia. His estate was probated on 13 Jan 1862 at Greene Co, Georgia.

      The 3 Jan 1861 will of Benjamin F. Merritt left his property to his mother Polly Hart / Heart and after her death to Lovit /Lovet Merrit and Benjamin's sister Eliza Brown, the latter in trust under her husband Thomas Brown. This Lovet Merrit was not Benjamin's father Lovett who died in 1854 but could have been Benjamin's brother Samuel Lovett Merritt who was age 17 when Benjamin wrote his will.

     Samuel Lovett Merritt was born on 20 Mar 1844 at Greene Co, Georgia. He was the son of Lovett Merritt and Mary "Polly" O'Rear. Samuel Lovett Merritt died on 1 Jul 1862 at Malvern HIll, Henrico Co, Virginia, at age 18. His estate was probated on 4 Aug 1862 at Greene Co, Georgia.

      The 2 May 1862 will of Samuel Lovett Merrit left his property to his niece Cassey Brown and subsequently to his sister Ann Eliza (sic) Brown and her children. His executor was his friend David Leslie and his witnesses were Wiley G. Johnson, Yelverton P. King and W. Stanley.

     William Parks Merritt was born a 1846. He was the son of Lovett Merritt and Mary "Polly" O'Rear.

     William Floyd Weathers was born on 25 Sep 1911 at Alabama. He was the son of Thomas 'Tom' Floyd Weathers and Ethel Nalls. William Floyd Weathers married Bessie May Moore a 1935.

     Allean Weathers was born c 1914 at Alabama. She was the daughter of Thomas 'Tom' Floyd Weathers and Ethel Nalls. Allean Weathers married Felton Pitts a 1934.

      Allean Weathers was also shown as Alleen and Aline in records.

     Polly Weathers was born c 1916 at Alabama. She was the daughter of Thomas 'Tom' Floyd Weathers and Ethel Nalls. Polly Weathers married Andy Lauer a 1936.

     May Dean Weathers is the daughter of Thomas 'Tom' Floyd Weathers and Ethel Nalls.

     Sam Weathers was born c 1874 at Alabama. He was the son of Jane Amandaline "Mandy" Beam.

      Sam Weathers was enumerated on the 1910 Shelby Co, AL census as Sam Weathers, a son, in the household of Isaac Schrader and Jane Amandaline Beam Weathers Schrader. Sam was born after Amanda remarried Shrader and after her first husband, Thomas Weathers, returned home very late from the Civil War. Thus it is unclear who his parents were and he may not be her son.

Sam at age 36 reported on the 1910 census that he was a widow and was working on his home farm -- the Shrader farm -- implying he was related to Jane Amanda Beam Weathers. Sam is not Isaac Shrader's son because Isaac only had daughters born in the time frame of Sam's birth.

     Rev Benjamin "Bennie" Floyd Weathers was born on 10 Dec 1887 at Childersburg, Talladega Co, Alabama. He was the son of Hiram Floyd Ben Weathers and Sarah Alabama "Bama" Crawford. Rev Benjamin "Bennie" Floyd Weathers married Jennie (Unknown) a 1911.

     Luther Douglass Weathers was born on 27 Aug 1889 at Harpersville, Shelby Co, Alabama. He was the son of Hiram Floyd Ben Weathers and Sarah Alabama "Bama" Crawford. Luther Douglass Weathers died on 22 Aug 1954 at Talladega, Talladega Co, Alabama, at age 64.

      A Luther Douglass Weathers reported on his WW I draft registration card when he registered in Shelby Co, AL that he was born 27 Aug 1889 in Harpersville, AL; had a wife and one child; and was working at Sterrett, AL.

     Hosea "Oce" Daniel Weathers was born in Jun 1891 at Alabama. He was the son of Hiram Floyd Ben Weathers and Sarah Alabama "Bama" Crawford. Hosea "Oce" Daniel Weathers married Lula Morris a 1915.

      Hosea "Oce" Daniel Weathers was likely the Hosey Weathers born about 1890 who was sentenced to jail on 4 Apr 1939 in Shelby Co, AL. The sentence was 20 days and a $50 fine or 67 days and $49.65 costs for carrying an concealed weapon. However, he apparently was unable to pay the fine or the court costs because he served until 20 Oct 1938.

     Lemuel "Lem" McDuffie Weathers was born on 16 Jul 1894 at Shelby Co, Alabama. He was the son of Hiram Floyd Ben Weathers and Sarah Alabama "Bama" Crawford. Lemuel "Lem" McDuffie Weathers married Mary Francis Garris a 1915. Lemuel "Lem" McDuffie Weathers married Mary Alice Lang on 11 Mar 1942 at Columbiana, Shelby Co, Alabama. Lemuel "Lem" McDuffie Weathers died on 14 Oct 1965 at Sylacauga, Alabama, at age 71.

      Lemuel McDuffie Weathers also had four other children with Mary Alice Lang who were still alive in 2018.

     Eddie "Buster" Monroe Weathers was born on 23 Apr 1898 at Talladega Co, Alabama. He was the son of Hiram Floyd Ben Weathers and Sarah Alabama "Bama" Crawford. Eddie "Buster" Monroe Weathers married Gertrude Beatrice McKinney c 1921. Eddie "Buster" Monroe Weathers died on 26 Feb 1957 at Talladega Co, Alabama, at age 58.

     Mae Weathers was born on 30 Nov 1902 at Alabama. She was the daughter of Hiram Floyd Ben Weathers and Sarah Alabama "Bama" Crawford. Mae Weathers married Oscar Shaw a 1919. Mae Weathers died on 12 Apr 1981 at San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo Co, California, at age 78.

     Claude Temple Weathers was born on 7 May 1904 at Alabama. He was the son of Hiram Floyd Ben Weathers and Sarah Alabama "Bama" Crawford. Claude Temple Weathers married Birdie (Unknown) a 1929. Claude Temple Weathers died on 7 Apr 1996 at Talladega, Talladega Co, Alabama, at age 91.

     David H. Weathers was born c 1907 at Alabama. He was the son of Hiram Floyd Ben Weathers and Sarah Alabama "Bama" Crawford. David H. Weathers married Annie (Unknown) a 1932. David H. Weathers died on 10 Nov 1962 at Rochester, Beaver Co, Pennsylvania.

     Lector Lorane Weathers was born c 1910 at Alabama. She was the daughter of Hiram Floyd Ben Weathers and Sarah Alabama "Bama" Crawford.

     Myrtle Weathers was born c 1912 at Alabama. She was the daughter of Hiram Floyd Ben Weathers and Sarah Alabama "Bama" Crawford. Myrtle Weathers married Willie Shaw a 1932.

      Myrtle Weathers may be the 18-year-old Annie Bell Weathers on the 1930 census in Hiram's home in Sylacauga, Talladega Co, AL.

     Annie Bell Weathers was born c 1912 at Alabama. She was the daughter of Rev Benjamin "Bennie" Floyd Weathers and Jennie (Unknown).

     Gertrude Beatrice McKinney was born c 1902 at Alabama. She married Eddie "Buster" Monroe Weathers, son of Hiram Floyd Ben Weathers and Sarah Alabama "Bama" Crawford, c 1921. Gertrude Beatrice McKinney died in 1989.
