     Dolly Handy was born in 1763. She was the daughter of MAJ Benjamin Handy I and Elizabeth 'Eliza' Martin. Dolly Handy died in 1765.

     Elizabeth "Eliza" Wilson was born c 1771. She was the daughter of James Wilson I. Elizabeth "Eliza" Wilson married George Handy, son of MAJ Benjamin Handy I and Elizabeth 'Eliza' Martin, on 21 Mar 1787 at Manokin Presbyterian Church, Somerset Co, Maryland. Elizabeth "Eliza" Wilson died c 1837.

     Catherine Melissa Winslett Guzzi is the daughter of Lt Col James "Jim" Franklin Guzzi and Virginia "Ginny" Custis Winslett.

      Ed Whitsett's theory was Samuel may have married Elizabeth and they were the parents of Ed Whitsett's great grandfather William Francis Winslett.

     Julia Elizabeth Talton was born on 29 Aug 1858 at Tallapoosa Co, Alabama. She was the daughter of PVT Joseph Jasper "JJ" Talton and Samantha Elizabeth "Lizzie" Foster. Julia Elizabeth Talton married Elijah McWhorter on 7 Nov 1878. Julia Elizabeth Talton died on 30 Jun 1911 at age 52. She was buried at Smyrna Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Coosa Co, Alabama.

     Joel Melton Talton was born on 5 Apr 1860 at Tallapoosa Co, Alabama. He was the son of PVT Joseph Jasper "JJ" Talton and Samantha Elizabeth "Lizzie" Foster. Joel Melton Talton married Matilda "Mitta" Elizabeth Champion on 10 Feb 1879 at Tallapoosa Co, Alabama. Joel Melton Talton died on 27 Oct 1922 at Childersburg, Talladega Co, Alabama, at age 62. He was buried at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery, Sylacauga, Talladega Co, Alabama.

      Joel M. Talton is shown as a 20-year-old laborer living with his wife Matilda in the 1880 Tallapoosa Co, AL census. They were living next door to his aunt Matilda Talton Winslett. Joel's death certificate showed his wife Tilday and the informant was his first cousin once removed Thomas Jefferson Winslett.

     Jane Winslett was born a 1860 at Alabama. She was the daughter of William 'Buck' Winslett II and Elvarine 'Ellie' 'Elva' Lovejoy.

      Although marked as a male on the 1860 census, there was already an older living person in the household named James, so this person may be a female named Jane.

     James Milton Winslett was born c 1832 at Georgia. He was the son of William Milton Winslett and (1st wife of Wm M. Winslett) (Unknown). James Milton Winslett married Charlotte "Lottie" T. Johnson on 1 Jan 1851 at Tallapoosa Co, Alabama. James Milton Winslett died on 8 Oct 1893 at Karnes Co, Texas.

      James M. Winslett served in the Tuskeegee Light Infantry, 3rd Alabama Regiment, Confederacy. He moved his family to Texas in the winter of 1873.
