     Violet June Hickey was born on 6 Jul 1919 at Hood, California. She was the daughter of Robert E. Lee Hickey and Linnie Rogers. Violet June Hickey married Victor Ellsworth Gardner on 12 Jul 1939 at Carson City, Nevada. Violet June Hickey married Caryl Schinkel on 14 May 1972. Violet June Hickey died on 23 Nov 1991 at Amador, California, at age 72.

     Caryl Schinkel was born in 1921 at Nevada. He married Violet June Hickey, daughter of Robert E. Lee Hickey and Linnie Rogers, on 14 May 1972. Caryl Schinkel died in 2004.

     Victor Ellsworth Gardner was born on 13 Jan 1913 at Daviess Co, Missouri. He married Violet June Hickey, daughter of Robert E. Lee Hickey and Linnie Rogers, on 12 Jul 1939 at Carson City, Nevada. Victor Ellsworth Gardner died on 21 Aug 1972 at age 59.

     Scott McDonald is the son of Wallace L. McDonald and Dorris Laverne Weathers.

     Annie Mabel Bell was born on 24 Feb 1886 at Shady Grove, Clay Co, Alabama. She married Nathaniel "Nathan" Cunningham Harris Harris, son of William "Will" Franklin Harris and Savannah Rebecca Hickey, on 13 Jan 1906 at Clay Co, Alabama. Annie Mabel Bell died on 7 Aug 1922 at Marvin Chapel, Clay Co, Alabama, at age 36.

     J. W. Phillips was born a 1860. He married Susan "Susie" L. Weathers, daughter of PVT Stephen "Yank" Weathers and Nancy A. Carroll, a 1880.

     Martha White is the daughter of Cunningham "Pete" White and Myrtle Bell Harris.

     Wallace L. McDonald was born on 9 May 1930 at Childersburg, Talladega Co, Alabama. He married Dorris Laverne Weathers, daughter of Lemuel "Lem" McDuffie Weathers and Mary Francis Garris, on 16 Oct 1952 at Coosa Co, Alabama. Wallace L. McDonald died on 30 Jun 1994 at Sylacauga, Talladega Co, Alabama, at age 64.

     William Peyton Wright was born in May 1855 at Alabama. He married Mary A. Weathers, daughter of PVT Stephen "Yank" Weathers and Nancy A. Carroll, on 28 Feb 1883 at Elmore Co, Alabama.

      William Wright's birth date varies from May 1855 on the 1900 Autauga Co, AL census to possibly circa 1858 on the 1910 Elmore Co, AL census.

     Arthur Leonard Wright was born in Aug 1885 at Alabama. He was the son of William Peyton Wright and Mary A. Weathers. Arthur Leonard Wright married Ada Laurel Meeks c 1906. Arthur Leonard Wright married Exie Patterson a 1935. Arthur Leonard Wright died in Jan 1971 at Tallapoosa Co, Alabama, at age 85.

     Lonnie Mae Wright was born on 9 Jul 1891 at Alabama. She was the daughter of William Peyton Wright and Mary A. Weathers. Lonnie Mae Wright married Willie Lacy Jones a 1911. Lonnie Mae Wright died on 12 May 1977 at Alabama at age 85.

     Bob "Bobbie" Wright was born in Mar 1897 at Alabama. He was the son of William Peyton Wright and Mary A. Weathers.

     Tanner Sullivan was born c 1893. He married Nora Lee Wright, daughter of William Peyton Wright and Mary A. Weathers, on 29 Dec 1914 at Coosa Co, Alabama.

     Lula Pearl Sullivan is the daughter of Tanner Sullivan and Nora Lee Wright. Lula Pearl Sullivan married James Dennison on 18 Sep 1950 at Autauga Co, Alabama.

     Margareta Barbara Woerner was born on 10 Oct 1752 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. She was the daughter of Johann Conrad Woerner and Anna Barbara Kraft. Margareta Barbara Woerner married Johannes Kizler I, son of Johannes Jacob Kizler and Anna Margaretha Kazenwadel, on 15 Feb 1774. Margareta Barbara Woerner married Georg Michael Koehner on 28 Jul 1795 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Margareta Barbara Woerner died on 26 May 1827 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, at age 74.

      Margareta Barbara appears to be listed as the daughter of Michael Woerner on the Kizler church family record, although it is difficult to read. There were Woerner families living in Mundelsheim from at least the mid 1700s on.

The year her husband Johannes Kizler died, she remarried on 28 Jul 1795 to a man born 2 Mar 1755 whose name this researcher cannot transcribe in the Mundelsheim, Germany church register (p.214). The same page however provided her parents names more clearly.

     Johannes Kizler I was born on 2 Sep 1746 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. He was the son of Johannes Jacob Kizler and Anna Margaretha Kazenwadel. Johannes Kizler I married Margareta Barbara Woerner, daughter of Johann Conrad Woerner and Anna Barbara Kraft, on 15 Feb 1774. Johannes Kizler I died on 14 Jan 1795 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, at age 48.

      Johannes Kizler I was a weingaertneror wine gardner. When his widow remarried Michael Koehner the Kizler children were listed as Koehner children on the Mundelheim, Germany church record (p. 214 Kizler - Woerner - Koehner.)

     Johannes Kizler II was born on 13 Aug 1777 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. He was the son of Johannes Kizler I and Margareta Barbara Woerner. Johannes Kizler II married Sophia Magdalena Baeuerle on 15 Feb 1803. Johannes Kizler II married Katharina Spaeth, daughter of Georg Friedrich Spaeth and Katharina Dorothea Fink, on 26 May 1812 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Johannes Kizler II died on 23 Mar 1857 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, at age 79.

      Johannes Kizler II was a "weingarter, ev," or vineyard owner. Johannes and his wife Katharina Spaeth are listed on the Mundelsheim, Germany church family record (p. 263 - 264) and noted in the birth records of their children. His name is consistently spelled in this generation as Kizler and is also recorded in the family church record as Kizler, not Kuzler.

     Katharina Spaeth was born on 28 Aug 1792 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. She was the daughter of Georg Friedrich Spaeth and Katharina Dorothea Fink. Katharina Spaeth married Johannes Kizler II, son of Johannes Kizler I and Margareta Barbara Woerner, on 26 May 1812 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Katharina Spaeth died on 22 Jan 1859 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, at age 66.

      Katharine Spaeth's marriage record clearly shows her 28 Aug 1792 birth date and was used to establish her birth although her death record has a different birth date.

     Johannes Kizler III was born on 5 Aug 1813 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. He was the son of Johannes Kizler II and Katharina Spaeth. Johannes Kizler III married Elizabeth Friedricka Mezger, daughter of Jacob Leonhard Mezger and Elizabeth Susanna Pflugfelder, on 19 Oct 1843 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Johannes Kizler III married Rosina Christina Schwamm, daughter of Thomas Schwamm and Gottliebin Reiner, on 6 Feb 1853. Johannes Kizler III died on 29 Jun 1868 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, at age 54.

      Johannes Kizler's extensive three-generation church family table (record) was used to establish the names and dates for Johannes, his parents, his wives and their parents, and for all of his children. Johannes was a "weingarter, ev," or vineyard owner.

The 3 Feb 1843 birth date given this researcher during the Counts interview may be for another child born to Johannes before he married later in 1843 or may be in error.

The Kizler church record is recorded in the Mundelsheim Familienregister 1808-1863 (p 263-264 hardcopy; p. 146 softcopy through ancestry.com).

     Rosina Christina Schwamm was born on 22 May 1828 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. She was the daughter of Thomas Schwamm and Gottliebin Reiner. Rosina Christina Schwamm married Johannes Kizler III, son of Johannes Kizler II and Katharina Spaeth, on 6 Feb 1853. Rosina Christina Schwamm died on 5 Feb 1901 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, at age 72.

     Johannes Jakob Kizler was born on 26 Aug 1857 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. He was the son of Johannes Kizler III and Rosina Christina Schwamm. Johannes Jakob Kizler immigrated a 1876 to Russia. He immigrated in 1881 to United States. He married Angelika "Anna" Barbara Hilsenbeck, daughter of Jakob Friedrich Hilsenbeck I and Anna Maria Straub, in 1884 at Saint Joseph, Buchanan Co, Missouri. Johannes Jakob Kizler died on 5 Aug 1947 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at age 89.

      Johannes Jakob Kizler was a postmaster and banker who lived in Hillsboro, KS, a German-Russian enclave. He used the names John and JJ Kizler as well. His father's Mundelsheim, Germany Family Tables (church family record) shows his name was orignially Johannes, which anglicized would be equivalent to James, but Johannes morphed his German name to John.

Eugene Bissell, the grandson of John Jacob, said his grandfather was sent from Mundelsheim, Germany to apprentice with one of his uncles -- either Gottfried Schwamm or Jacob Schwamm -- in Russia as a cobbler. When John Jacob finished this apprenticeship there apparently was no opening for him in his home town of Mundelsheim. He had the choice of returning to Russia and rejoining his uncle or coming to Hillsboro, Kansas where an older brother had established himself as a grocer. Records were found for Goffried and Jacob Schwamm traveling from Marbach district in Germany to South Russia in 1889.

The 1 Mar 1885 Hillsboro, KS census listed John as a merchant living with his wife Angelina. On 1 Jun 1900 John lived in a financed home he owned in Risley Township, Hillsboro, Marion Co, KS with his family and worked as a grocer. In the 1905 Hillsboro, KS state census, J. J. Kizler age 47 born in Germany and working as a printer, was enumerated with Anna age 45 born in Germany, Nette age 20, Albert age 17, Lena age 15, Klara age 13, Ida age 11 and Alis [sic] age 9. The Kizler children were all born in Kansas. John owned his home with 1 acre land valued at $1000 with improvements -- the improvements being valued at $800; had made 110 pounds of butter, and sold poultry and eggs sold during the year valued at $40. In the same 1905 census in other households there is a Maria Schmidt age 27 working as a housemaid and a Albert Kizler age 16 living in the household of G. Kizler age 54, a merchant, and Klementine Kizler age 51.

By 1910 John was living at 211 West Street, still in Risley, and was a widow working as a bank cashier where his daughter Clara was working as a bookkeeper; daughter Lena kept the house in order; and he still owned his financed home. By 1915 there were no changes at home, although J. Wieler age 27, a bookkeeper, appears to be a boarder and he was gone by the next census. By 1920 John was working as a cashier at State Bank and daughters Ida and Alice had become public school teachers. In 1925 John was retired from banking and living alone in his home. In 1930 it was noted John was not a veteran, his home was valued at $2000, and he was working as a city clerk; the Counts' interview noted John was a postmaster, but the city clerk position may not be that job.

In a Sep 1966 letter from their daughter Alice stated, "My sisters and brother are all living, Nettie is Mrs. Schmidt, Lena is Mrs. Bissell, Clara is Mrs. Fincke and Ida is Mrs Nightingale and I am Mrs. Alice Isaac. Brother is Albert Kizler. Alice also writes that she has two sons, Robert Isaac and Charles Isaac. Robert has 2 boys and 3 girls and Charles has 1 boy and 2 girls."

     Johanna Rosina Kizler was born on 23 Dec 1860 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. She was the daughter of Johannes Kizler III and Rosina Christina Schwamm. Johanna Rosina Kizler married Jacob Fink on 8 Mar 1883 at Mundelsheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg.

     Angelika "Anna" Barbara Hilsenbeck was born on 11 May 1859 at Gruibingen, Goppingen, Wuerttemberg, Germany. She was the daughter of Jakob Friedrich Hilsenbeck I and Anna Maria Straub. Angelika "Anna" Barbara Hilsenbeck immigrated in 1880. She married Johannes Jakob Kizler, son of Johannes Kizler III and Rosina Christina Schwamm, in 1884 at Saint Joseph, Buchanan Co, Missouri. Angelika "Anna" Barbara Hilsenbeck died on 16 Aug 1906 at Saint Joseph, Buchanan Co, Missouri, at age 47.

      Where Angelika Barbara Hisenbeck died is disputed among descendants.

     Judith Wood was born b 1778. She was the daughter of COL John Scott Wood and Mary Scott. Judith Wood married CPT John 'Jack' Walker, son of COL James Walker I and Sarah Jane Ware, on 28 Dec 1795. Judith Wood died in Oct 1814.

     Ida A. Kizler was born on 20 May 1893 at Hillsboro, Marion Co, Kansas. She was the daughter of Johannes Jakob Kizler and Angelika "Anna" Barbara Hilsenbeck. Ida A. Kizler married Edgar L. Nightengale on 1 Jul 1958 at Ventura, California. Ida A. Kizler died on 15 Sep 1980 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co, California, at age 87.

     Clara M. Kizler was born on 1 May 1891 at Hillsboro, Marion Co, Kansas. She was the daughter of Johannes Jakob Kizler and Angelika "Anna" Barbara Hilsenbeck. Clara M. Kizler married Carl W. Fincke in 1918. Clara M. Kizler died on 22 Dec 1984 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co, California, at age 93.

     Alice Florence Kizler was born on 4 Feb 1896 at Hillsboro, Marion Co, Kansas. She was the daughter of Johannes Jakob Kizler and Angelika "Anna" Barbara Hilsenbeck. Alice Florence Kizler married Arnold Gerhard Issac on 19 Jun 1921 at Kansas City, Kansas. Alice Florence Kizler died on 23 Mar 1985 at Newton, Harvey Co, Kansas, at age 89.

     Arnold Gerhard Issac was born on 19 Jun 1893 at Lehigh, Kansas. He married Alice Florence Kizler, daughter of Johannes Jakob Kizler and Angelika "Anna" Barbara Hilsenbeck, on 19 Jun 1921 at Kansas City, Kansas. Arnold Gerhard Issac died on 9 Apr 1976 at Newton, Kansas, at age 82.

     Lena M. Kizler was born on 28 Jul 1889 at Hillsboro, Marion Co, Kansas. She was the daughter of Johannes Jakob Kizler and Angelika "Anna" Barbara Hilsenbeck. Lena M. Kizler married Tracy Ruben Bissell on 3 Jun 1927 at Los Angeles, California. Lena M. Kizler died on 16 Mar 1993 at Pleasanton, Alameda Co, California, at age 103.
