     Mildred Collier was born a 1740. She married John Christian, son of William Christian I and Susannah Browne, a 1760.

     Edmond New was born a 1640. He married Mary (Unknown) a 1665.

     Mary (Unknown) was born a 1645. She married Edmond New a 1665.

     Ann Lewn was born a 1675. She married John Christian, son of Thomas Christian I and Elinor Kewley, a 1695.

     Elinor Kewley was born c 1641. She was the daughter of John Kewley I and Margt Lewn. Elinor Kewley was christened on 21 Feb 1641 at Saint Mathews, Douglas, Isle of Man, England ?. She immigrated on 15 Jan 1657 to James City Co, Virginia. She married Thomas Christian I c 1663.

      Elinor Kewley is judged to possibly be the Elinor Kewley christened 21 Feb 1741 who was the daughter of John and Margt (Lewn) Kewley. Although there were at least seven Elinor Kewleys born between 1706 and 1731, only the Elinor born in 1741 would have been the correct age to immigrate circa 1757 at age 17 as reported in Isle of Wight Co, VA records compiled by John Bodie. Further, if this woman born in 1741 is the one who married Thomas Christian, then her parents were John Kewley and Margt Lewn. The name Lewn is particularly intriguing because our ancestors Thomas and Elinor had a son John who married a Ms. Lewn, giving further credence to the possibility of this hypothesis that Elinor was born in 1741 to John and Margt being correct.

Of added interest is a woman whom records record as "Elinor Christian or Kewley" apparently who married a Kewley was buried 25 May 1717 at Onchan, Isle of Man; if of the same Christian family as the immigrant Thomas Christian, she could connect the Christians and Kewleys on the island a generation before Thomas Christian and Elinor Kewley, the immigrants, were born.

The discrepancy concerning the birth date of Elinor's first child and her marriage date is not solvable at this point. Whether Elinor was the only wife of Thomas Christian or he later married a Ms. Corbin remains unclear. As a result of the burning of records by Union troops during the Civil War, there is a dirth of records in Tidewater Virginia to support either supposition. If Elinor really died in 1688 as is reported on some unsourced ancestry.com family trees, given the spacing of children she likely died in childbirth.

     Lucy Grice was born a 1700. She married Richard Christian, son of James Christian I and Ann 'Amy' Macon, c 1720.

     Anne? Collier was born a 1706. She married William Christian I, son of James Christian I and Ann 'Amy' Macon, c 1726.

     Sarah (Unknown) was born a 1713. She married Joel Christian, son of James Christian I and Ann 'Amy' Macon, a 1733.

     Walter Leake was born a 1689. He married Judith Mask a 1714.

     Martha Ann Christian was born in 1668.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Christian I and Elinor Kewley.¹ Martha Ann Christian died in 1700.¹

     Margaret Christian was born on 13 Feb 1670. She was the daughter of Thomas Christian I and Elinor Kewley.

     Charles Christian (elder son Charles) was born in 1660. He was the son of Thomas Christian I and Elinor Kewley.

     Martha Jane Christian was born in 1674. She was the daughter of Thomas Christian I and Elinor Kewley. Martha Jane Christian married John Mask a 1699. Martha Jane Christian died in 1700.

     John Mask was born a 1669. He married Martha Jane Christian, daughter of Thomas Christian I and Elinor Kewley, a 1699.

     Holia Christian was born in 1675. Holia Christian was the child of Thomas Christian I. Holia Christian died in 1725.

     John Kewley II was christened on 14 Sep 1644 at Saint Mathews, Douglas, Isle of Man, England. He was the son of John Kewley I and Margt Lewn.

     Lucy Hunt was born a 1708. She was the daughter of Turner Hunt. Lucy Hunt married Richard Crump b Oct 1738.

      Lucy Hunt was the niece of Elizabeth Hunt (1680-after 1729) and the first cousin four times removed from Florence Shell (1856-1945). Florence Shell owned and annotated "Records of New Kent County Virginia: US Census for 1810 and US Census for 1850...." which she inscribed with her full name and the date in 1938 when she was was age 82. Florence, who lived in Richmond, VA should have had some direct knowledge of her family history. In the 1850 census Florence marked two families which may have had familial connections to her: Radcliffe and Crump -- both old New Kent Co families running taverns in the county. Florence did not mark other Radcliff(e) or Crump families in the 1850 census and did not mark any of the two families in the 1810 census although some of the same names, such as Beverly Crump, were in both censuses. Because Florence marked the only two taverns identified in the New Kent Co 1850 census perhaps the information she had from her mother related to a tavern and she was trying to find a family connection; hopefully some day that connection will become clear.

     Elizabeth Hunt was born a 1710. She was the daughter of Turner Hunt. Elizabeth Hunt married John Gregory b Oct 1738.

     Anne Hunt was born in 1715. She was the daughter of John Hunt and Susanna "Susan" (Unknown). Anne Hunt married Col. Richard Kennon a 1725.
